The Eyes

The Eyes  9x12  Oils on canvas panel

I "found" this photo in "Georgia - Between Caucasus and Black Sea", the blog of Jemal Kasradze

Mr Kasradze is a professional photographer in Georgia, Russia and does (in my humble opinion) beautiful and thoughtful photography.  I'm confident that you will agree after you visit his web site.

  1. Great. Will you send it to art show?

  2. I'm making several paintings that I'll consider for the art showS (plural) :-) It's hard work, choosing 8 paintings from my "stash" of work. Then to choose 3 for this show and 5 for that show! It's very much similar to having to choose a favorite pet or a favorite child! :-(

Thanks to Uncle Jemal for being patient with me - or at least I HOPE THAT HE IS! Eeeeeeek!

  3. Mesmerizing eyes! Love the close up, cropped face.

  4. Hi Liz! Thank you for looking! I'm trying to do better with darks and I believe that I over did it with the "bags" under the subjects eyes. BUT I did do some "Darker", didn't I? :-) I agree, cropping some times REALLY works well.

    Talk to you later.

  6. Thanks, Carolina! Do go see Uncle Jemal's website of photos. Since you'll be "surfing" check out Moscow Daily Photos - http://moscowdailyshot.blogspot.com/ which has lots of pictures of Moscow & etc. Irina Rekhviashvili (http://irinapictures.blogspot.com/) contributes to both of these - Jemal is her uncle!

    See ya.
