Paintings today - Monday Sept 19 2011

I've learned a very good way for PC users to view these photos without that "slideshow" @#$% that Google has provided. Right-click then choose "open in new window". WONDERFUL! Thanks to RenĂ© Beeldendkunstenaar in his blog RenĂ© PleinAir.  Thank you, thank you!

I've worked on the skateboarder with the red tee shirt for a couple of days. I did  Eagle 3 today after lunch. I might fiddle with the eagle, but for now I'll leave it alone. :-)

I didn't do all of these today or this week. I'm getting caught up to-date with posting to this blog.

I'm still here, and still painting.

I'm still here, and still painting! I haven't been able to make reasonably accurate photos. I guess that I need to use a matte or satin varnish because my main problem is glare.

The other problem that I have is my automatic camera. It wants to focus on the background even though I get up close, use the "macro" setting for close-up shots. And I use various "ISO" (whatever) that means. No matter.

I'm including four of my more recent paintings here instead of making individual posts.I have several others done but the inept photographer problem . . . . .

Morning Coffee II

$50.00 plus shipping
Morning Coffee II 5"x7" Oil on Masonite.

As I tried to wake up a few mornings ago I took a photo of the shadows created by my coffee cup on the kitchen table. See Morning Coffee I - below.

This time I made a yellow, round table.
instead of the brown straight table.

Now back to what I'm should to be working on . . . SIGH mumble, mumble, mumble, mumble, mumble, mumble!

Morning Coffee I

$50.00 plus shipping
Morning Coffee I. 6"x8". Oil on masonite.

As I tried to wake up this morning the bright sunlight was coming in our dining room window making these (I think) really neat triangle shadows. Luckily, I was awake enough to grab my digital camera and get a digital photo so that I wouldn't lose the image.

I have some larger (16x20, 11x14 etc) pictures that I should be working on, but that blank "canvas" is staring back at me. . . . . . I even tinted them and they're still mighty blank!

Just another Manic Monday.
