We had to put Casey to sleep this morning due to kidney failure and cancer. A very good dog and a best friend to Melissa and me. He leaves a huge void that will take a long time to ease.
We still have Simon (a boxer) and Bella (a miniature schnauzer) to help us in our grief.

Ken, I am soo sorry. Only 5 years old. Bad news.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Irina. I know that you understand.

Oh my Ken, I think to say goodbye to a wonderful companion is one of the hardest things to do. I'm so sad for your loss and just know that Casey is out of pain. So young. Hug the other two for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd because I haven't been computerising, I've missed all your latest posts. Love your little green frog, but my best is the guitar player. I know you've caught the glare on the darks, but you can still see how good this one is.
Thank you, Liz. For your kind words about Casey and my painting. I've been in a funk for the last few days and can't spend much time in my studio where Casey helped me be creative. :-) Memories really suck sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSimon & Bella are comforting Melissa and me. Simon is the clown prince of the household and is doing his best to cheer us up. And, it's working! :-)

OH, this is so sad, I'm SO sorry... I hope you're both allright.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs
Carolina
Hi Carolina. I'm happy to hear from you but not this way. :-| Casey was a big Boxer, but all sweetheart. He very badly wanted to be a lap dog but at 95 pounds that didn't work. Melissa and I are getting past it, of course and our wonderfully kind friends (such as you & Liz and Irina) are helping us.
ReplyDeleteYour Swan is gorgeous! :-) gusto mucho
