The Invisible Diner  16x20  Oils on canvas panel

I don't know the story about this lady. But most of us choose not to "see" the homeless people and pass them by without looking at them or even acknowledging that they are there.

This lady has a lot of baggage  (physical and psychological) to carry with her. And don't we all?  I've heard that most Americans are one or two paychecks (if they're lucky enough to have a job!) away from living on the street or in their car.

Maybe we could spend less on fighting and more on feeding . . . . . ?  Who knows?

  4. Thank you, Berit! I've been enjoying your photos of the snow. We're enjoying mildly cool weather for a few days then mildly warmer days then cooler then warmer . . . Soon, though, we'll have winter for sure and will be wishing for more sunshine! ha ha ha

  5. Hi Ken I've just arrived from Art with Liz's blog. This painting and your prose for it are fabulous, and made me think. I like your quietly thinking young lady too.
