France - Menton - Tango in the street

France - Menton - Tango in the street
16 x 20   Oils on canvas panel

This from Jilly's blog Menton Daily Photo. I "flipped" (mirrored more accurately) the photo just because I could! :-) I also left out some of the finer details from the photo wanting the focus to be on the dancers and the the two women. One seems to disapprove, whispering in her companion's ear.

It's really cool that the dancers can block out their surroundings, don't you think?

  1. I was looking at this artwork trying to figure out exactly what I like about it, but I can't think of any one thing, I just like it. I am particularely interested in the way the people in it seem to come to life. You can see what it is they might be thinking and it feels as though they each have a story to tell. It's beautiful.

  2. You and I apparently think alike! :-) I don't know how or why I choose subjects then leave that behind for another interest. I've not painted anything this year - at all. But I'm getting in the mood.

Thank you very much for your kind critique. I appreciate it very much.

  3. I understand ample men and women have had various things to say about this submit, and a few are generating a fine stage, but I do recognize the way you view it. Appreciate you sharing.
