Chef On Break Before Dinner Hour

The chef is taking a break before the dinner rush speaking to two of his friends.  It's almost dark and the lights are beginning to be turned on.

I will probably darken the darks a bit more. But for now, I'll call this one "finished"!

    I can feel a very close/intimate conversation going on between those friends. Very nice atmosphere...

    CAROLINA: This started out as a mid-day piece but seemed B-O-R-I-N-G! I thought that making it a dusk or early evening painting would be "different".(?)

    I think that I need to fill in the empty space in the lower right corner. It bothers me a little bit.
