Spectacular sunset in NW Arkansas

Here are a couple of photos of the western sky after a storm had gone through our part of NW Arkansas. I had intended to make paintings, but I was too busy looking and making photos! The colors are really close to what the sky looked like. No manipulation with software.

  1. These shots are amazing! What time was it when you took them? Did you take these from your window too? Please, feed my curiosity...
    Best regards :)

  2. Hi Carolina - aren't those skies amazing? If I did a painting I'd have to have a photo alongside to prove that it's actual colors.

The time was about 8 or 9 PM.

    Talk to you later.

  5. Hi Liz, Sylviane. I took about 20 photos of this sky around sunset (8 - 9 PM) with my Fujifilm J10 8.2 megapixel digital camera - on "automatic" exposure. Just point & click (maybe buzz). I can't seem to make the camera cooperate when I'm making photos of my paintings, though. The foreground is blurry while the background is sharply focused. GRRRRRRR. :-)

That morning a storm blew (literally) through and dropped over an inch of rain in a couple of hours.
