Bummer - my @#$% camera is broken

Those of you who have read some of my postings know that my @#$% digital camera and I agreed to disagree about the reality of FOCUS.  Two days ago I dropped the @#$% camera and only the left side the display displays anything. The right side is just . . . . . BLANK.  I suppose it's karma or some digital camera revenge thing getting back at me for talking smack about it.

I'll make some phone calls or use the internet to see if the @#$% thing can be repaired. I'm guessing that buying another camera will be "less expensive" than repairs.

Totally bummed!

  1. Ouch, Ken! so sorry to read about your camera...! Maybe you're right, it could be some kind of 'camera karma' ;)
I really hope you can solve the camera thing soon...
    Best regards,

  2. The camera stil makes "good" photos - I just can't tell where it's pointed for sure! :-) It's a little like having one eye covered. But until I get the replacement, it'll have to do. :-)

I looked at new digital cameras and OUCH, they're very pricey! Maybe my expectation is too high? DUH?

I'm glad that you're back to drawing again. I'm looking forward to your colored pencil paintings, though. HINT HINT!

  3. Hah! The revenge of the DC's!! Why don't you do what I did for a while, borrow a cheap one from a 'friend' until you give in and buy a new one. I bought a Fuji Finepix and am very happy with it. I think it has that thingie for the shakes as well, which helps!

  4. Hi Liz. I knew that something was going to go wrong when the camera began making in-focus pictures. My camera is (was?) a Finepix J10. It went into hiding and I can't find it now. Probably sulking.

Melissa has a "better" camera - more options, more pixels, more everything. I will have to go to college to learn how to take a photo, though! :-)

I've priced new & refurbished DCs and was sadly surprised that prices hadn't gone down appreciably. :-(

Thanks for your expressions of sympathy. :-)
