Airport Travelers 9x12 Oil on masonite
This is my version of Karin Jurick's Different Strokes From Different Folks (DSFDF) challenge 52-54. Periodically (two or three weeks) Karin posts a photograph on the DSFDF blog for artists to make their art then send a photo of their art back to Karin who posts it on the DSFDF blog. It's worth a look to see how different people make different art from the same subject matter.
This challenge's photo is great, but seems sooo difficult to do... congrats! the perspective, the lighting, everything was a real challenge, and you made it!
ReplyDeleteBest regards,

You are TOO kind to an artist "wannabe"! The photo turned out lighter than the painting, but at least it's in focus! Two out of three ain't bad! :-) I've been listening to music in my studio and Meatloaf was singing "Two out of three ain't bad". Seems appropriate, no?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your continuous encouragement! We'll talk later,
Ken B.
These challenges can be hard and you did a great job. Well done
ReplyDeleteHi Dominique!!!!!! THank you! I noticed that the lady in the middle really has no face! I thought that someting was missing . . . . Artist's prerogative, right? :-)
ReplyDeleteSee ya (maybe?) in the end of the year challenge?
