My Website is being built to showcase and sell my paintings.

I've begun making a website using at www.artbykenb.com using Intuit.com's website as my host.

I'm trying to build a "store" using PayPal to describe my products but it's a tedious process to say the least.  Intuit offers some "store front" addons that are looking better and better to me.

The main drawback to adding a "store" is my budget (or lack of). Right now I'm using their "Business" website free for 30 days then for $19.99 a month.  Adding a Basic store with a limit of 100 products costs another $9.99 a month.  So I would be paying $30.00 a moth instead of $20.00 a moth.

$360.00 a year or $240.00?   I suppose that I should try it for six months then take a look at it then.  If I could sell three or four paintings a year I could pay for a year's online costs and have some spending money.

If it's not one thing, it's another isn't it?

  1. I missed this post. Or was too tired to read and react. But better late then never!
My congratulations on starting new web-site and success in gallery. Great! Great!
Look at Karin Jurick's site, she is very smart in marketing, I think, you can get several good sales ideas there.
Though you are already a very famous artist, please do not miss to post the latest paintings to your blog! Besides my pleasure, it gives to your popularity and socialising, too.
Good luck, Ken, to you and to Melissa!

  3. Ken, please keep posting here, I hope you are fine and I miss your oils.
I like your site, but it seems to me that blogging is very important too! Site is important for presentation, but blogs for socializing and active marketing.
    Do not be lazy!)))
